Sandy and I are truly sad for your loss of Alec. Nate, I sat at Alec's service this morning with Tre and friends, and reminisced about our hunting experience at son Scott's home in Hopkins. Alec was my Financial Intern at JCI in '13. He made a permanent imprint on my heart. 1st time i saw him he came from the prod floor dirty, sweaty and super athletic in his tank top.The nxt day he transformed into a preppy office 'dude'. He had bubbling enthusiasm & people called him the happiest person they ever met. I remember Alec for his incredible work ethic (most mornings he was in the office working when i got in), his professionalism, his learners spirit, his selfless servant's attitude (not above any menial task), his sense of humor, endless energy, his compassion & consideration towards the needs of others. My most treasured moments were hearing Alec undoubtedly speak to Jed on the phone and calling him Pa. Overhearing the adoration, love, respect, compassion one could not help but realize the very deep and special bond of companionship between father & son as displayed in the tone of Alec's voice. Alec could eat with clowns & dine with kings - he was that comfortable in any company. He was well mannered, well spoken, well taken care of & carried himself well. Jed & Kassie -congratulations you did an outstanding job in raising a great young man. The principles you instilled in him allowed his legacy to stay with all of us who's lives he touched, forever. His life can be celebrated as he made every minute count and packed in a lot more than others do in a lifetime. Sadly for us left behind he got his job on earth done faster than most people, & was consequently called home.

I met Alec working at Hendricks in Charlotte. Alec was the cool kid the frat boy, the real laid back guy, in my eyes. Alec would come into my department to bother me just because (he didn't need a reason) lol. At work He was so goofy and had a huge smile every time i saw him. Alec is definitely an unforgettable guy, therefore I have great memories to take with me of him. Especially one of him getting down on the dance floor at the Hendricks christmas party!!! This reminds me a lot of Alec and the times we spent together over the past year! He was always someone you could talk to when you needed advice or just a good laugh. He was one of the few people that I trusted to look after my dog whenever I went out of town even though I would get my dog back with some ridiculous bandana wrapped around his neck I knew that he had been taken care of without a doubt. Alec was definitely one-of-a-kind and I will miss him dearly as a friend and as a coworker. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family, because Alec truly did touch everyone's life.

I watched as he grew into a partner, friend and family member for everyone that knew him. He brought sunshine to everyone's lives. My heart goes out to Alec's family and friends. I worked with Alec while in Richmond at the Hendrick dealership. He was funny and kind and a real pleasure to talk to. We shared some pictures of our dogs and told me of his mothers service dog. He was so excited as the dealership had given him pit passes for the upcoming Nascar race in Richmond. He had never been. As I left on Thursday evening I told him I would see him at the races and he said see you there! What a special young man. I pray the good Lord will wrap his love around you all for strength and understanding for the loss of your son Alec. God bless you all.
