Robert M. (Bob) Frappier

Robert M. Frappier (Bob) of Newtown PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 4, 2016 in Vierra FL. Born in Hartford CT on August 2, 1932. He was the son of the late Charles and Marion Frappier. When still quite young his family moved to Jackson Heights, Queens NY. His family later moved to Lower Merion PA when he was still in school and he graduated from Lower Merion High School. Bob was a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and also a graduate of the Executive MBA program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Bob was a Veteran and served with the United States Army in Germany. Bob worked as a Systems Engineer with Bell Atlantic for 35 years and retired in1988. During his career and after his retirement Bob volunteered his time for 28 years at the Penndel Mental Health center where he served as the President of the Board of Directors. Bob enjoyed golfing, tennis and spending time with their lifelong friends and neighbors over a game of bridge or a good party. Bob and the family were active members at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Levittown for over 50 years. Bob was married to his late wife, Jane Frappier for 46 years and together they raised their family of 5 children in Levittown's Forsythia Gate section. Bob married Sonja Wise in 2004. She was his best friend and a great comfort to him and together they enjoyed spending time entertaining their many friends, traveling and spending time at their homes in Newtown PA, Beach Haven NJ, and Vero Beach FL. Bob is survived by his wife Sonja Wise – Frappier. He will be terribly missed by his 5 children. Robert Frappier and his wife Mary of Houston TX, Paul Frappier of Salt Lake City UT, Jay Frappier and his wife Judy of Flower Mound TX, Ann Frappier Machesic and her husband Dale of Key Largo FL, and Mary Jane Frappier Neff and her husband Paul of Cocoa FL. He was dearly loved and admired by his 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial mass honoring Bob's life will be held at the Church of Saint Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd Newtown, PA on Friday May 20th at 10:00AM under the direction of the Swartz/Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown, PA.
