Willie "Mack" Stansell, Sr.Easley, SC
Willie "Mack" Stansell, Sr., 94, of Atlantic Avenue, husband of Geraldine Suddeth Stansell, passed away Wednesday November 9, 2016.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late William Abner Stansell and Vera Grethel Cantrell Stansell.
Mr. Stansell was retired from Woodside Mills in Easley and was a member of Easley First Baptist Church. He was a Past President of the Easley Bowling Association, coached Easley Little League Baseball, and played community baseball. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and working in his yard.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years, are two sons, Willie Mack Stansell, Jr. of Easley and Charles Stansell (Darlene) of Seattle, WA; a step son, Brian Shelton of Easley; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Olive Surrett and Ellen Sponsler both of Easley and Linda Davis of Greenville; and a brother, Wade Stansell of Crockett, CA.
Mr. Stansell was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Vinson Stansell; two sons, Gerrell Stansell and Dean Stansell ; four sisters, Helen Owens, Lucille Smith, Julie Stansell and Irene Stansell; and two brothers, Ralph Stansell and Carl Stansell.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family will be at their respective homes.

Charles, my condolences on the loss of your father. I have nothing but fond memories of him during my league bowling days in Easley. May God bless his soul.

We have enjoyed having the Stansell's as our neighbors for several years. We will miss seeing Mack out doing his yard work. He always had a neat yard. We enjoyed talking over the fence to him. He will be missed.
