Nancy Chaltron

Nancy Joan Chaltron (nee Madsen), 86, of West Bloomfield and Pontiac, MI passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, OH after fighting cancer courageously and with faith, for over one year. Nancy was born May 7, 1930 in Royal Oak, MI. Nancy worked as an office manager and executive secretary, but that was not who she was. She was a person of faith in Christ, whose family and friends were the most important part of her life. It was through her example of Christian love that she would lead people to the love of Christ Jesus. She was an active member of Pine Hill Congregational Church, W. Bloomfield, MI and among other duties chaired the church's Benevolence Committee for over 30 years. In addition she and her husband would host bible study groups at their home. Nancy knew that where flowers grow so does hope and she loved to plant and care for her flower gardens. She understood that more grows in a garden than what the gardener sows. Besides spending time in the garden, Nancy truly enjoyed travel with the family from the East Coast to the West Coast of the United States and trips abroad to Europe. Nancy is survived by children Barbara Fabinak (John J. III) of Bay Village, and Carol Chaltron of Royal Oak, MI.; grandchildren Violetta, Ilco and Lykwirah Welch, and her special friend Bill of Willoughby. Nancy is proceeded in death by her late husband, of 45 years, Warren F., and her parents Martin Madsen and Maja (nee Lauridsen). Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Pine Hill Benevolence Fund in care of the church. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME 32000 DETROIT RD, AVON, OH ,Sunday, November 20, from 1pm – 3pm with a 3pm prayer service led by Pastor Dan Reynolds of Bay Presbyterian Church. Friends may also call at Pine Hill Congregational Church 4160 Middlebelt Rd, W. Bloomfield, MI, Wednesday, November 23, from 11:30am – 1pm with the funeral service at 1pm.
