Barbara Martin Obituary
Barbara Elizabeth Martin, 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died peacefully in her sleep on November 24, 2016. She was born on September 24, 1925 in Charles City, Iowa to Anna Marie and Jay Joseph Smith. She married Arville Dean Martin on November 5, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa; they were married for 35 years until his passing in 1991.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; sisters, Mary Ann, Saphina, Jane, Anna Marie and Joan; brothers, Richard and Alfred. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Donna) Martin and Michael Martin; and daughter, Katherine Gedney.
Barbara will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother.

I remember Barbara from Womens Hospital where we both volunteered. She was always so sweet and kind to everyone . To her family so sorry for your loss.

What a great woman, I volunteered at Women's hospital with her. One of the
memories I remember is when she was working
in the gift shop and a robber with a gun
came into the store, she was so cool about
it, gave him the money and it didn't phase her at all. My condolence to her family.
