I enjoyed the short time that I got to spend with Doris and John while they stayed with me for a few weeks. I'd come home from work, and we'd share the day's events. Doris usually had dinner ready. My favorite was her chicken and dumplings. To this day, I can't look at a can of chicken and dumpling soup without thinking her. I know she will be greatly missed by her family.
