Jodi Eads Obituary

Published by Porter Loring Mortuary North on Nov. 29, 2016.
Our beloved Jodi Jannelle Eads (Cooper), 48, of San Antonio, Tx, left us to be with her Savior on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. Jodi was loved and adored by her husband of 29 years, Jeffrey Dale Eads Sr, and loving son Jeffrey Dale Eads Jr. Jodi was born in Tucson, Arizona. She was raised and attended primary schools in El Paso and Houston until the family moved to Tyler, Texas. Attending Tyler ISD, Jodi graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1986, during which time she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, whom she couldn't wait to marry. Jodi's most proud accomplishment was being a mom to her and Jeff's son, Jeffrey. They loved traveling to the Orange County and Laguna Beach, California areas. Disneyland and various amusement parks were their favorite vacation activities. Playing her favorite music for her family on her grand piano was also one of her favorite pastimes. Preceding her in death were grandparents Haley Hause and Lucia Lydia (Hanna) Harvey of Tucson, Az., and Nadine (Mitchell) Cooper of Roswell, N.M. Jodi is survived by her husband Jeff and son Jeffrey. Her parents John and Mary Jo Cooper of Tyler, Texas, sister Julie Simmons (Stephen) of Garland, Tx. In-Laws Norman Eads of Tyler, Tx., Judy Hall of Troup, Tx., David and Cindy Eads of Little Elm, Tx, Joe and Michealle Spencer of Troup, Tx., John and Kelly Eads of Tyler, Tx., and Alan and Arlena Eads of Troup, Tx. Jodi loved and doted on her nieces and nephews Jeremy and Heather Spencer of Troup, Tx., David and Rachel Eads of Great Lakes, IL, Taylor and Justin Esquibel of Ft. Worth, Tx., Stephanie and James Barrans of Grand Prairie, Tx., John Michael Eads of Tyler, Tx., Garrett Eads of Little Elm, Tx., Alana Rae Eads and A.J. Eads, both of Troup, Tx. Great nephews Wyatt, Brandon, Noah, and Jaxon, and great niece Emmy. They will all miss her dearly. With an infectious laugh, sense of humor, and heart of gold, Jodi loved people and this is what endeared them to her. Assisting many causes, philanthropy was a passion of hers to help those in need and paying it forward. A visitation will be hosted by Jeff and Jeffrey on Monday evening the 5th of December from 7-9 pm. A celebration of the spirit and kind heart we were honored to know and love as Jodi Jannelle Eads will begin at 2pm on Tuesday, December 6th at the Porter Loring Mortuary North. Both services will be held at 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas 78232. To honor her, Jodi passionately requested that in lieu of sending flowers, donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society @www.pancan.org.

Hey Aunt Jodi it's AJ a lot has happened since you've been gone. I met a beautiful lady named Zoe. She is absolutely amazing. You and her would love each other. Also I have a son now, his name is Zailyn. And I know you, you'd be all over him, loving him, going shopping for him, taking him to six flags hahaha. But anyways I was just wanting to keep you updated on everything that has happened. We all love you and miss you so so much. And I hope to see you in the future.

Nearly 3 years on and my memories of Jodi haven't faded a bit. Her spirit is free from this dimension, and I like to think we will someday meet again. She fulfilled her purpose and left her indelible mark on all of us who are waiting our turn.

I was just going through some things of mine and found something Jodi had given me. I was a personal trainer and friend to Jodi many years ago in San Antonio. She was a true friend to me and absolutely unforgettable. I can't remember exactly how we lost touch. I had to move away and tried to maybe find her in social media several times to no avail. Today I looked her up again and am so saddened by this news. Jodi was an extremely special person. We shared some really fun times and were always laughing!! I send my belated but still genuine condolences and love to her husband Jeff and son Jeffrey that I only knew a short time. She was a light in this world. I am so sorry for all of our losses with her passing. -Amber Christine Cunningham (of Kerrville, TX and Austin, TX)

Lisa, Josh, and I will miss her terribly. We think of Jodi, Jeff, and Jeffrey as family. Jodi was the "light of the party" everywhere she went. We are heartbroken to lose her so young.
