Mrs. Joan Y. Moeller

Joan Yvonne Moeller, 84, of Coral Springs, Florida died at home on December 7, 2016 with family by her side. Joan was born August 27, 1932 in Belleville, New Jersey; the youngest of three girls to parents Samuel Joseph and Cecilia Edna Nesbitt and sisters Margaret (Peggy) and Edna. Joan was co-owner of Orange Plastics, Inc. in Rahway, NJ—along with her late husband Helmut Moeller—until the sale of the company in 1996. They enjoyed their retirement together at their homes in Mountainside and Mantoloking, NJ. Joan moved to Coral Springs in 2003. She is survived by her sister Edna Gaffney of Pembroke Pines, Florida as well as her three children: Gary and Barbara Hilyard of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Lary and Susan Hilyard of Toms River, NJ, and Caterina and Robert Kniffin of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ; her seven grandchildren: Karin, Suzanne, Mark, Craig, Gregory, Alexa and Robert; her great grandchildren: Cory, Casey, Cali, Zachary, Jake, Elizabeth, Lauren, Austin, Brock, Jackson, and Ava; her nieces and nephews: Manny, Joanne, Nick, Kathleen, and Al; in addition to numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, her three cats, a night at the casino, "suppers" at the diner, and a fresh cup of coffee. Life Celebration visitation will be held at Gray Memorial Funeral Home at 12 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, NJ on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday 11 am, December 16, 2016, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
