Lisa McKiernan LaPenna

Lisa H. McKiernan LaPenna, 48, formerly of Hamden, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Tallahassee, FL. She was born in New Haven, CT on July 15, 1968 to William E. McKiernan and the late Nancy McKenzie. Lisa was a loving mother, her world revolved around family, especially her children. She was a nurse who had a special passion for working with disabled veterans, as well as anyone she encountered who was in need of a helping hand. She enjoyed the outdoors, with a special love for the ocean and her dogs. Lisa was loved by all who knew her, and will truly be missed. Lisa is survived by her loving children Anthony Notaro III and his wife Ingrid and their son Santiago of Norwalk, Allasondra Notaro of Wallingford, CT, Brendan and Cassidy LaPenna both of CA, her father William E. McKiernan of FL, her sisters Lana Claire Ives of Darien and North Haven, CT, Lucille Laydon and her husband William of North Haven, CT and her brothers Lance Komoroski of Hamden, CT and Liam McKiernan and his wife Cherie of North Haven, CT. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as aunts and uncles. Family and friends may call at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM with a Prayer service at the funeral home at 3:00 PM.
