Rita M. (Rasmusson) Sullivan

Rita Mary Rasmusson Sullivan, of York Maine, formerly of Needham, passed away on Wednesday, December 15th. Beloved wife of the late Vincent James Sullivan. Daughter of the late Robert Rasmusson and Grace M. Doucet Rasmusson. Mother of Patricia Ann Rowean, Barbara Ann Gavel, Donald Dennis Sullivan and Paul Francis Sullivan. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Rita graduated from Waltham High School in 1935. She was an Avon Representative for over 60 years. Rita was Past president of Newton Upper Falls Women's Club and Needham Village Club Auxiliary. A member of York Senior Center, she was an avid card player and knitter. Rita, up until only a few days before her passing, was still knitting newborn hats for York Hospital. Private Services will be held.
