Mr. Joe will truly be missed by all of the staff at Robert Head Start & Early Head Start. He became a part of our hearts during his employment at the center. All of the staff, children, and many parents got to know him well. He was a very kind and gentle man with a well-known love for his wife and daughter. He was a great team player and loved the children who knew him as pawpaw. He was supposed to come by the center to visit once we got it completely back in shape with furniture after all was damaged during the August flood. The furniture was being delivered and installed today (12/21/16). Although, he never had the chance to come by, we will think of his visit, and know that expression of joy he would have had on his face to know we were back up and running again. He would have also laughed to see that Maggie kept the picture of him we had on his door; she now has it hanging in her cabinet so she when she opens the door, there is Mr. Joe, smiling that big happy smile we knew so well. That picture keeps him a part of the center still today. We all loved him and will forever remember him. Mrs. Diane and their daughter are in our prayers.
