I recently learned of Val's passing. I was a Wittenberg classmate of hers. Life took us in many different directions, but I always remembered her smile and tremendous energy. I had hoped to reconnect sometime. She was a Tour de Force. Sympathies to Artie and her sister. She is gone far, far, too soon. (I am the other woman in the wedding party photo, I loved seeing that photo of Val and Dana at the start of the tribute, too What great, fun times we had). RIP, Val! Nancy

I will always remember Val with her big smile, her laugh and her kind personality. No matter what the Herman Miller workday would bring, she always seemed to find the positive side of things and laugh through it.
My thoughts and prayers will be with Val and with your entire family during this very sad time. With deepest sympathies,
Elizabeth

Val's light will shine perpetual. She leaves a beautiful legacy in Courtney, Leigh, Virginia & Prior, and in Alie, Madison & Ryan. No one knew her that they didn't have a great time. Always the life of the party, her spirit lives on in all she knew! Rest in peace sweet friend!

What a beautiful woman inside and out. The moment and one and only moment I was able to meet her, I just knew she was a ball of life and fun!! I could tell instantaneously why Art loved this woman. She made it easy for anyone to adore her. I am blessed I had the chance to meet her.
