Joseph Philip Dzuback Jr., 96, passed peacefully from this world on January 13, 2017, at home in Westfield, NJ, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Born in Bayonne, NJ, on December 7, 1920, to Joseph and Maria Simko Dzuback. Joe was raised in Bayonne. He attended St. Peter's College and Fordham University, before enrolling at the Merchant Marine Academy and graduating with the first class in 1943. He enlisted in the Navy, and served as Lieutenant, JG, on the USS Conemaugh and the USS Rainier, from 1943-1946, in the South Pacific. Joe so loved the Navy that he joined the Naval Reserve (1946-1961). He completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wyoming on the GI Bill. The Boy from Bayonne was a charmer. When he met Juanata Childers at Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga, TN, he was smitten and pursued her until they married 6 months later, on July 3, 1949. They had six children, lived in Chattanooga, Tuscaloosa, AL, Bayonne and Metuchen, NJ, Levittown, PA, Glenview, IL, Wilton, CT, Portville, NY, Westfield, NJ, and moved to London, UK, for the last nine years of his career. He was VP of International Sales at Dresser Industries, overseeing operations in the UK, North Sea, Scandinavia, and the Middle East before retiring in 1986. Joe was an avid golfer and bridge player at Plainfield Country Club. He was a devoted member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Westfield, where he served as an usher, lay reader, and volunteer with the Monday Morning Club. He was also an enthusiastic reader of history and science and loved the challenge of crossword puzzles. Most of all, he loved his family. Joe is predeceased by siblings Susan Skasko, Peter Dzuback, Mary Dutko, Anne Carnochan, and Nancy Dzuback, and son John Childers Dzuback (1991), and his beloved Juanata (2008). Survivors include his children Mary Ann Dzuback (Peter Best) of St. Louis, Joseph Dzuback III (Paula) of Fanwood, Margaret Bloomfield (Michael) of San Francisco, Jayne Bibb (Julian) of Franklin, TN, and April Heron of Palo Alto, CA; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Dee Childers; and much loved nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 20th, 2017, at St. Paul's Church, 414 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ, 07090. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Westfield, NJ. Arrangements are by Gray Funeral Directors, Westfield. Dear Dzuback Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences. May the scripture at Isaiah 61:1,2 help to bring you comfort during this troubling time and continue to draw close to God.

May God bless and comfort grieving family and friends, and may memories and prayers see you through this difficult time. Wait for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, removing the effects of sin and death shortly.
