A heartfelt message to Joan, Barb, Kathy, Tom and Terri. 97 years old and he was a gentleman to the end. Random thoughts: always a smile on his face, smoking his pipe, offering us to play on the swing set, gardening. So kind to drive us to school even though Kathy had already graduated. Always had a twinkle in his eye.
What an honor it was for me to have Mr. Art Haill sing Ave Maria at my wedding.
Art and Anne had so much love for each other, respected each other, laughed a lot.....Now that is a great marriage of 70 years!
Prayers for Anne that she is comfortable and for the family during this difficult time.

I send my condolences to all of the family, especially to my daughter Amber Cook and my son Zack Cook and their Mom Dawn Davis. I know they will dearly miss their Great Grandfather. He was a special man. I know we will all cherish our memories of Grandpa Hail.

My condolences to Art's family and friends. I always thought of Art as somewhat of a renaissance man: musical, hardworking, witty, wise, kind, and a great neighbor. In my youth, I considered him one of my role models but doubt that he knew this. I can close my eyes and easily envision him in his light green '51 or so Plymouth with a smile on his face and a friendly wave as he turned into his driveway. And oh yes, I remember helping (and I use that term loosely) him erect an addition to the Haill home. Happy that he had such a long and meaningful life.

My heart goes out to the Haill family. Mr. Haill was such a kind, gentle man. I have fond memories of watching him garden, play with his children and grandchildren, getting to ride along with Anne and neighborhood kids to pick him up from work, watching him put on a tremendous fireworks display, listening to his funny stories, getting a ride from him to high school, and even having jury duty with him twice! He always made it a point to talk to me whenever he saw me.
I admired Mr. Haill so much, because he showed utmost respect to Anne. He loved her so much. It was not unusual to see them walking hand in hand to church.
Mr. Haill was a good man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Our condolences to the Haill family on their loss. There were no better neighbors on Hancock and no better man than Art. He and Anne helped our family throughout the years and I fondly remember Art's wise counsel. God bless!
