Catherine Forthofer

Catherine C. Forthofer (nee Meecha),70 year resident of Avon, passed away Monday March 6, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born December 10, 1925. Catherine was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School and she was a 70 year member of Holy Trinity Church. Catherine enjoyed many hobbies such as word search books, sharing books with her sisters, jigsaw puzzles, chocolate and RC Cola, watching golf and soap operas, she was a big time wrestling fan, and a long time frustrated Browns fan. She was proud of her family. She said "Grandkids and dogs are the greatest". And most importantly, her children learned how to parent from her. She is survived by her children Karen Seadler (Alan), Sandra Harto (Andrew, deceased), Marsha Somich (Alex), Greg Forthofer (Mary Ellen), Jeff Forthofer, Gary Forthofer (Becky) and Carolyn Forthofer; grandchildren Amanda Seadler (Jamie Larkin), Bradley Seadler, Shannon Richard (Jeremy), Jason Harto, Michael Somich (Anne), Matthew Somich (Sara), Robert Somich, Ryan Forthofer, Kari Forthofer (Kenny Roberts), Kyle Forthofer, Rachel Forthofer (Andrew Serfozo), Catherine Forthofer, Emma Forthofer, Samantha Forthofer, Aaron Forthofer; great-grandchildren Maggie, Grace and Griffin Somich, Jonathan and Trenton Roberts, Isabella Forthofer and Baby Richard on the way; siblings Evelyn Boals, Marlene Horner, Joan Payne and Daniel Meecha. She is preceded in death by her dear husband LaVern; siblings Albert Meecha, Loretta Stanko and Victor G. Meecha; her beloved parents Victor S. and Cecelia Meecha.
