I just found out about the passing of David Bruce McMahan. I was so sad when I heard the news. My father just passed away on June 24th. I lived next door and The McMahans were like a second home for me. They always invited me over and I felt like I was part of their family. I was very close with the whole family. Jeffrey and I went to school together and we always had the best time playing with Smurfs and then Star Wars. My heart and prayers go out to the McMahan Family. As busy as Bruce was he always found time to give me great advice and guidance. He will be deerly missed.

Bruce was a fun and generous man. He was entrepreneurial in spirit and always open to new ideas and approaches. He encouraged others to be clever in their thinking and will be dearly missed. My condolences go out to all of his family and friends. Thanks for all the opportunities and memories Bruce.

Dear Heather, Cristina, Jeffrey, Alison & Esteban,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I have so many wonderful memories of you all - from Pelham Manor to Southhampton to Florida to Spain and finally China as well. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Peace in Christ to each one of you.

I appreciated the inspiration that Bruce provided regarding my musical pursuits with Heather back in the mid 1980's when I lived in the NYC area. I was also grateful that my "non-stellar" financial status was not as important in his eyes as my talent and potential. I still reflect on that from time to time. I will keep Heather, Cristina, Jeffrey, Alison and Esteban in my prayers. I am grateful for the many memories I have of Bruce and his family.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend. We will recall with great joy his life and our relationship. The work he and Yvette Marin started through the National Cristina Foundation touched the dark corners of America with hope, enlightenment, and the gift of substantially better lives for thousands of God's children. It has been an honor to serve with him as a founding member of the NCF board of directors. When our seven children were very young we took them to met Bruce at the 40 Wall Street headquarters of the McMahan investment firm. He did not hesitate to authorize his driver to take our children on a special tour of the City with all the stops they might desire for shopping and sight seeing.
Our great summer trips to his home in The Hamptons made for treasured family memories and was another example of his good heart and generosity. One great memory of Bruce, among many, was our trip together to Beijing to bring the good work of NCF to the Chinese. Indeed, Bruce never thought in small ways and China was a magnificent opportunity to make lives better for the multitudes he wanted to reach. We send our love and special memories to the entire McMahan family.

This is my second message in memory of my Daddy. My daddy is the most important person in my life. My daddy's been taking care of me from the day that I was born. I saw my beloved daddy in September of last year in San Diego. I spent a week with him and I was so happy. He always made laugh. He told me stories. They were great and wonderful memories. I love you so much Daddy.
