Matthew C. Moriarty 15, beloved son of John F. and Kathleen A. (Bell) Moriarty of 1 North Pond Rd. and Dennisport died at home on Thursday, Dec.11. He is survived by three brothers, Christopher, Scott, and Joshua; four sisters, Ana, Jana, Amanda and Laura; and several uncles and aunts. A brother, Brian of Worcester died in 1980.
Matthew was a sophomore at Burncoat High School where he was a member of the Burncoat High School Football team and the Burncoat Junior ROTC. He loved spending time at his home in Dennisport, where his favorite hobby was fishing at the pond. Matthew's organs were donated to the New England Organ Bank and the New England Eye Bank.
A Funeral will be held on Monday, Dec.15, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Sunday, Dec. 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew Moriarty Scholarship Fund, c/o Burncoat High School, 179 Burncoat St. Worcester 01606. (www.faybrothers.com)

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We know there are not words to help ease your pain but may it help to know others share your pain.
