Denise and family, Im so sorry to hear of Sean's passing. He was such a genuine and friendly man. As time went on we would see each other less and less, but when we did , his smile and bear hug would make it seem we just spoke the day before! He was always so proud of his family and his sons. I will miss him.

My heart is heavy today as I have to say goodbye to my teammate, at both Ryan and Lock Haven, my roommate at The Zoo (LHU), and my Friend who always, always had a kind word or a word of encouragement in any situation that we found ourselves in or talking about. I can still remember my last conversation with you, it was the night of Grants closing for the last time and you said another chapter of our lives is gone. It is so sad that I won't be able to have another chapter in our lives to close with you but I know when I see you again you will fill me in. I will be waiting for you to call me at the gates Jimmie Jillespi as you have done for 30 plus years. Rest in Peace my Friend.

One of the most decent people I've ever known. I never heard anything negative said about Sean (although I wasn't a fan of having to try and block him). A friend to everyone- a handshake didn't cut it, he brought you into the fold and made you feel like his best friend, and you were grateful that he did. Who was cooler? All that's being written about him is true. I'll miss you Sean. Denise, I'm so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I met Sean just before freshman year playing soccer against his Bustelton Bengals and then played with him freshman year, it was more fun playing on his team then it was playing against him. Sean was a man amongst boys then and he took it upon himself to protect the weak/meek, small guys in our class. Although I haven't seen him in 20 plus years, he's a guy you would never forget. Truely a great guy in my book. My sincerest condolences to his entire family, I know he'll be missed.

I first met Sean at Ryan High School. He was a jovial guy with a kind face, notorious voice and infectious laugh. Sean never had a bad word about anyone - he liked everyone and everyone liked Sean. As an adult, he maintained his friendly ways and was an inspiration to the kids he coached at Calvary - LAX team. Sean encouraged the boys to be better athletes, team mates and more importantly, better sons. We will miss Sean and hearing his side line comments during games:) and his friendly personality. He was a great guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May God bless and keep you all during this difficult time.

I remember meeting Sean in first grade. Even as a little kid he was a straight up righteous guy. Clearly one of the Good Guys. My heart goes out to his family. I'll always remember the St. Pat's parade in Boston.

Smitty, It's been a long time since I've seen you, but the Sean Smith I remember from Ryan football was a big, tough LB with a heart as big as the field and a great laugh. I still remember when you burst into the weight room and made all of us listen to U2's new album every day for about a month. I am sorry for your pain, but I wish you and your wife and children and all who mourn you peace forever. You were a good man, Smitty.

Denise I am so sorry for you loss, Sean was a great person all around. I got to ride the train home from center city a few times years ago with him and would laugh the whole ride home. He loved his family so much and when he would talk about you and the kids he would light up. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
