Visit the Busch Funeral and Crematory Services - Fairview Park website to view the full obituary.
James Adam (Jim) Reese, 45, of Westlake, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 after a short but extremely courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born October 28, 1971 in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Lakewood schools with the class of 1990. Jim was a self-taught chef by trade for almost 30 years. He cooked in multiple venues over the years, but his fondest memories were of his time spent in California. He catered parties for some Hollywood actors and watched the whales in the bay while cooking at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The death of his nephew, Brandon Leigh Reese, brought him back home and he knew then he wanted to be with family. Most recently, Jim was proud to be a member of the culinary team of the Cleveland Yachting Club (CYC), Rocky River, Ohio. Jim is survived by his parents, Susan E. Bobby of Westlake, OH and James R. Reese of New Port Richey, FL; sisters Deborah S. Reese of Cleveland, OH, Christine L. Seedhouse (Matt) of Westlake, OH, Susan R Warwick (John) of Chandler, AZ; stepfather Stephan A. Bobby of Chandler, AZ; aunt Sharon George of Mesa, AZ; nephews Stephan J. Lamer of Chandler, AZ, Brian P. Baldwin of Lakewood, OH, Alexander C. Ita of Westlake, OH; and many cousins. Jim has an extended family of brothers and sisters that will forever remain in his heart and the hearts of his family. Their love and support had no boundaries. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to West Park Meals on Wheels, 15460 Triskett Rd., Cleveland, OH 44111. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Busch Funeral Home, 21369 Center Ridge Road, Fairview Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service. Cremation by Busch Crematory. 440-333-9774 www.buschcares.com

I am a better person for having met Jim. He had a heart of gold. In the time I knew him he never missed an opportunity to tell me how grateful he was to have such a loving and caring family, especially his mother. His legacy will be the imprint he left on all the lives he touched during the past two years.

I am sorry I was unable to attend his service. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our prayers go out to the entire Reese family. I grew up with Jim and have many childhood memories from Garfield Elementary and beyond.
