Carol Lang Obituary

Published by The Healy Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services - Aurora Facility on May 29, 2016.
Carol A. (Parmenter) Lang, 73, of Aurora, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 29, 2016.  She passed away at Seasons Hospice of Naperville, surrounded by loved ones.  She was born July 12, 1942 in Moline, IL, to the daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna (Stone) Parmenter. Carol met her husband, Clarence E. Lang in 1961 at the Burlington Railroad, where they were both employed & was united in marriage to Clarence in 1962. She also was employed at George's Printing for several years and then at The River Street Press as a Typesetter retiring in 2009. Carol was a long time member of Calvary Church in Naperville.Carol is survived by her dear husband, Clarence E. Lang of Aurora; and was blessed with four loving children, Larry Lang of Aurora, Don Lang of Montgomery, Chuck (Laurel) Lang of Aurora and Ginger (Tom) Wollenweber of Montgomery; six precious grandchildren, Colton, Alyssa, Lee, Haley, Gabriella and Gregory; two very special sisters, Lavona Kennedy and Myrna Moyers; and many other family and friends. Over the years, Carol traveled the world, taking yearly vacations with her husband & children.  After her children grew up, she began taking cruises with her husband to locations such as Alaska, Hawaii & Europe. In 2006, Carol & Clarence renewed their vows in the Holy Land while vacationing with their church. She was baptized in the Jordan River on that trip. Carol will be dearly missed by all that knew & loved her.  She had such a generous and loving heart. It is comforting to know that she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and that we will see her again one day in Heaven. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 1-5 pm at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL  60506. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:30 am at The Healy Chapel. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Clarence:

Carol was a blessing to us over the years and we will miss her loving gentle spirit. She is now home with our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus, and no longer has any illness. She is now in the presence of the love and peace that only can be found with Our Father and His Son.

Love and Prayers!

Clarence and family, Carol had a kind and loving spirit about her and was a dear friend. Even though we didn't see one another often we always kept in touch at Christmas. We will miss her lovely hand written holiday greeting but will always remember her beautiful spirit. We will keep her family in our prayers.

She always had a quiet, sweet spirit about her. No one will forget Aunt Carol. Larry, Donny, Ginger, Chuck, I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose a mom. Uncle Clarence, God is the greatest comforter, and imagine, no more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears, whole again. Peace that passes all understanding.

I remember Carol collected precious moments and when I was little she told me I looked like a precious moment.
When I stayed a few days with Chucky and Laurel, Chuck put in a home movie from the early 60s of the Lang gang. I remember thinking that aunt Carol looked like a movie star. Like Marilyn Monroe.
She was a beautiful lady inside and out.

Mom,
Oh, how I miss you so much already. God blessed me with such a caring, thoughtful and precious mom. You were always there for me no matter what mess or heartache I was going through. We had fun over the years going shopping together and stopping at Oberweis on our way home.

It was difficult to see your body failing and to see you in so much pain. Few knew what you were enduring. You are finally at peace. It was so bittersweet to be holding your hand as Jesus took you home. I look forward to reuniting with you in Heaven one day. I love you and will cherish you in my heart forever.

♡Love, Ginger ♡
