Thomas Francis Hartley

Thomas Francis Hartley passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2017. He was 39 years old. Tom was born on November 16, 1977 to Gerald W. Hartley and Roberta J. Hartley. He attended St. Luke the Evangelist School in Glenside and Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote. He was a Glenside resident for most of his life. Tom was a skilled craftsman and a dedicated worker who took pride in all his endeavors. He was a voracious reader who loved to learn, and would read everything from the Almanac to the Bible. Books on history were his favorite. He also loved music, and enjoyed cooking, eating, and trying various recipes. Tom was a warm, loving, and caring soul who endeared himself to all those he considered a friend. He was a devoted, loving son and a loyal, caring brother to Jerry, John, Karen, William, Kathleen (Matthew), Maureen, and James. He was a loving uncle to Ryan, Kataryna, Allison, Abigail, and Steven. He also adored his cat 'Fred'. Tom will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. For those who wish to pay their respects, there will be a memorial visitation on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 11:00am to 12:30pm, at Craft-Givnish of Abington, 1801 Old York Rd, where a service will be held at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in Tom's name, to a charity of your choice.
