Jimmy Russell, 63, beloved Husband. Father and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on September 6, 2017.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Nazarene Church in Borger with Jake Minton officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
He entered this world on January 31, 1954 in Dumas, TX, born to Rex and Velma Russell. Jim has lived in Fritch for the past 29 years and was the Pastor of Fritch Church of the Nazarene. He had a passion for fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, being able to visit and pray with people. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with is grandchildren. Jim's smile was warm, caring, and he made you feel loved when he walked into the room.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Russell; his daughters Christie Earls and her husband Jason of Blackwell, OK and Marie Burk and her husband Cory of Fritch; his brother David Poe of Saline, MO; his three grandchildren Ashley Russell, Alexis Russell and Rory Burk.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home in Fritch from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

I haven't seen or heard from Jimmy since we were teenagers, was thinking about him so searched the net and sorry to read that we cannot get together for a visit.
Jimmy and I were pretty close, he did have a great smile and was a pleasure to be around. I sure do wish I had searched earlier for him.
