Mary Ann Durham, 75, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born Jan. 18, 1942, in St. Louis, a daughter of the late John S. and Mary Lilllian (Roark) Jackson. On May 20, 1972, she was united in marriage to Thomas Durham, who survives at the home.
Mary Ann worked for the State of Missouri in the Department of Education and Vocation Rehabilitation until her retirement. She served the city of Holts Summit in several capacities as well as alderman for seven years. Mary Ann enjoyed reading, their dogs, Brownie and Rusty, cat, Patches, and traveling with her husband.
Along with her husband, Mary Ann is survived by her two sons John Allen Durham of Holts Summit, James L. Durham of Columbia; brothers John Jackson (Fran) of Lee Summit, David Jackson (Carol) of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Caitlin Akin (Scott) of Jefferson City, Paul Durham, and great-grandchildren Riley and Emma Akin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers James Edward Jackson and Robert Jackson.
Family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
