Wood, Gordon 6/2/1932 - 10/12/2017 Gordon G. Wood, age 85, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the American House in Jenison surrounded by family. The son of Thomas & Christina (Shaw) Wood, he was born on June 2, 1932 in Darwen, England. Gordon was preceded in passing by his parents; Daughter, Hazel Redder; and brother, Harry Wood. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Ila Wood; children, Linda (Doug) Graham, Jane (Gary) Carlson, Bill McNamara, and Terri (Don) Roe; as well as 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Gordon was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending his time golfing and bowling. Gordon touched the hearts of everyone he met in life with his wonderful sense of humor. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Honoring his wishes cremation will take place.
