Littlestown
Monroe J. Phillips, 82, died Wed a.m., Nov 8, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Annette E. (Stultz) Wantz Phillips for over seven years. Born March 13, 1935 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Mary R.(Feeser) Phillips. He was a 1953 Littlestown High School graduate and served in the army from 1961-'63. He retired in 1997 as a company truck driver based in Westminster.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his stepson, Tim Wantz of Littlestown; and his stepdaughter, Laurie Clabaugh of Fairfield; his three stepgrandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet M. Miller; and his brother, Ray L. Phillips, both of Littlestown. He was predeceased by his stepbrother, Clair N. Warner. He was a member of Gates of Praise Worship Center, FOE and VFW, all of Littlestown. Monroe loved to work in his rose garden and enjoyed attending Littlestown Senior Center.
Funeral Service is Sat., Nov 11, at 11 a.m.. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. S. A. Garrett officiating. Viewing is Saturday 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in Monroe's name may be sent to his church @ 500 Baltimore Pike, Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared on
