TSGT William Clayton Arnold (USAF, Ret.), 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Mary EvelynWarrick Arnold died Monday, November 13, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. William was born May 11, 1930 in Pickens, South Carolina, son of the late Martin Clayton Arnold and the late Ethel Irene Hanson Arnold. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. He attended Wando Baptist Church and loved his church family. William loved his flowers, gardening, and giving his children grief. He was a great keeper of his neighborhood community and loved by all. He is survived by two sons, Larry O. Arnold (Peggy) of Wando, SC and William T. Arnold of Charleston, SC; daughter, Patricia Cunningham (Ernest) of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Michael) of Huger, SC, Nichole Casey (Allen) of Huger, SC, April Distler (Squeakie) of North Charleston, SC, Keith Distler (Kaitlyn) of Andrews, SC, Clay Arnold of Clemson, SC, and Nathan Pilgrim of Clemson, SC; fourteen great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a son, Kenneth Arnold and a granddaughter, Tanya Arnold.

My favorite uncle, he didn't talk a lot but said more than others because he alway made me feel special and how he loved all his family. I still remember sitting in his lap when I was a little girl and how I always loved this man so much, precious memories
How I would have loved to seen my granny Arnold's face when he stepped into Heaven and how happy Aunt Evelyn and Kenny must be. Our loss is Heavens gain
