Berger, Rudy G.
Rudy Berger, 96, was called by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 22, 2017 to be reunited with the love of his life, Isabel. They were blessed to have shared 75 wonderful years together. He was a lifetime member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church. Rudy proudly served his country in WWII as Staff Sargent of the B-24 overseas combat crew, where he received the Oak Leaf Cluster. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Last Man's Club. In his younger years, he bowled in a weekly League and enjoyed many weekends doing his favorite sport of fly fishing at his "secret fishing holes", while we enjoyed the benefits of his many great trout catches. He had a love for life and was the stronghold of the family. Rudy was a dedicated Husband and Father. He was kind, loving, caring and passionate, to all that knew him. His love will forever be deeply held in the hearts of his daughters, Carol (Bruce) Sims of Southampton, Bermuda and Nancy (Giorgio) Fani of Houston, Texas. He will fondly be remembered by his Grandchildren, Lindsey (Jason) Leman, Michael Sims and his Great Grandchildren, Lucy and William Leman.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 20, 2017 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the Slovak Catholic Cemetery on Riverside Drive, following services. In lieu of flowers/offerings, mass cards or contributions can be made in memory of Rudy to SS. Cyril's church.

My dad, Eugene, worked with Rudy at Ozalid and bowled with him. I was lucky to be able to go and watch them some nights... Rudy was a very nice man...may he RIP and bowl the heavens with my dad.

Rudy was good friend of my father John King, who passed on July 26. They worked together at OZALID for Three Decades. There can't be too many from that crew left. Our condolences to his family and friends.
