I was searching Facebook and I came across Andy's obituary. he was one of my very best friends when we were in the Army in 1970 and 71 I came to Langhorne to visit him when we were in the service , and even went up to Towanda deer hunting with him once. over the years I lost track of him and I am deeply saddened that he has passed away. he came to my house in Phillips Wisconsin in 1984 on his way out to the Olympics in California , and that is the last contact I had with him. Judy, you have my deepest sympathies, those were the days and he was a wonderful friend

I'm very sorry for your loss. We had a memorial flight for Andrew in a game that he played with us called Aces High. I personally got to fly with him in that game for over a year in the same squad. He was such a nice guy. He will be missed by all. Here is where i have posted the memorial flight video: https://youtu.be/I4_ggsRfbOM

To be absent from the body is to be present with... My condolences. I was blessed with the opportunity of continued growth and maturity in college on the field, by what Coach C saw in me, both on and off in high school. My prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I have such wonderful memories of him as my basketball coach. He had such a positive affect on so many people's lives. I still have a wooden cutout of my name he made for me many years ago. I think of him every time I look at it. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Coach Cunningham.

My 12 year old son met Coach C about 5 years ago. He really enjoyed going to practices at Neshaminy and seeing Coach C. He would come home and say "Mom, Coach C got me a warm up shirt" or "Mom Coach C gave me a Dick's gift card for Christmas". He was so passionate and always made my son feel like he was part of the team even though he was a young child....they shared the same passion and bonded a ton during the years.....When we heard of his passing the first thing my son said was I am going to his funeral (He may not be able to attend tomorrow because of school, but we will be thinking of him all day). He was one of "Coach C's" biggest fans and was very upset to hear the news. Thinking of the family during this difficult time! ~Sherman, Tara, Nate & Trey

Andy was a very genuine, kind person. I never saw him angry, even when favorite teams were losing. He was compassionate and very strong. He loved his family, friends, students and cars. He always had a way to cheer me up and make me feel better. He knew how to reach people and pull them out of their shell, and letting them know how special they really were. He loved my Aunt Judy with all of his being and was a wonderful supporter for all life adventures. I have nothing but fond memories of him. I world has lost a very special, one of a kind man. I will never forget him.

My son Justin met Coach C freshman year at Neshaminy high school. Coach C and Justin or JJ as he fondly called him became fast friends. Coach C helped coach the boys' varsity basketball team. He was kind and patient to all of the boys but also able to guide them with constructive criticism when coaching. He really understood Justin from the start. Justin loved basketball and also had a great understanding and intellect for the game. Coach C saw this in him. Justin did play JV and Varsity that year and during a practice at the end of the season Coach gave Justin a book about basketball and inscribed it. This meant so much to him. Their friendship meant so much to him. Unfortunately Justin suffered concussions and had to sit out most of sophomore and junior year. It was heartbreaking for him but he always had Coach C asking how he was and sitting on the bench next to him discussing the game. Coach had the kindest eyes and the kindest soul. Always a handshake to my husband and I and always asking how JJ was. I'm sure there are many other young people that Coach C influenced during his teaching and coaching career. We will never forget him. Our deepest, most heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Cunningham and all that loved him.
