Bettie Lois Jarvis Morris SALISBURY, NC - Bettie Lois Jarvis Morris, 88 of Salisbury, formerly of Charleston, SC and High Point, NC passed away on Friday, December 29th at her home. Born in High Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Gwyn Jarvis and Lois Hicks Jarvis. She was educated in High Point where she received her Certification as an ENT Nurse. Preceding her in death were her parents and her sons, McKinley Gwyn Henderson (Ken) and Jack McLean Henderson. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Henderson Dillard and husband George Thomas of Salisbury and grandchildren: Kristin, Kimberly and Alex Dillard and 5 great-grandchildren, Parker, Emory, Branson, Finley and Kaden. A true friend to all, she will be missed by so many from her former home in Charleston. Of those, she will be missed most of all by Keith Grey who was like a son to her. At her home in Salisbury, she was surrounded by the loving care of Julia Jenkins Whitley and June Rappe. The Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., January 13, 2018 at Summersett Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Carol Hallman, pastor of First United Church of Christ will officiate. Her ashes will be blessed and at a later date will be joined with her two sons at Folly Beach, SC. Following the service, the family will receive family and friends in the home of Thom and Beverly Dillard, 2800 Woodleaf Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Rowan Helping Ministries, PO Box 4026, Salisbury, NC 28145 and Faithful Friends, PO Box 3097, Salisbury, NC 28145. I can't believe she is gone. I am a better person for having known her. She will be missed by all her friends and family but never forgotten. Rest in Peace sweet lady
