Martin Frank Vargas 6-21-1941 to 1-29-18 Marty was a third generation native of San Luis Obispo. He adored his grandparents, Martin and Anna Robles, attended schools in SLO and served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. He is survived by his aunts: Annie and Lupe; wife, Carla; sister, Martha; two daughters: Marnie and Angela; Carla's sons; grandchildren; and numerous cousins and extended family. Marty was proud of his military service and memberships in the VFW, American Legion, Elks, Moose and Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor #290. A viewing will be held at 10:00 am, with a service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Reis Family Mortuary in San Luis Obispo, followed by a luncheon at the Elks Lodge in SLO.
