Jo Ann and family. I'm sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man. I've known him for a long time. From his days as a police officer at SIU to his delicious BBQ. You and Curtis were hard workers and Curtis was always smiling and loved conversation. I know he will be missed and pray for you and your family. His legacy will live on by all of those he touched in his life.
God Bless.

JoAnn,
You have my sympathy, I am so sorry to hear of Curtis passing. I liked Curtis and you from the first time we met at the Williamson County Fair. At the time I owned Gib's Chuck Wagon. You take care of yourself and stay strong in this difficult time.

I knew Curtis in DTHS and after he retired. We drank coffee together at Emlings in DuQuoin.

In memory of my Brother, Curtis Eugene Jackson: When he lived in Des Moines, IA from 1952 to 1962, we were very close. As our older brother, Curtis taught us so many things, and we adored and respected him. Curtis had so many talents, and his musical talents were taught to him by our mother, Melvina Keesee-Sanders. Curtis excelled in everything he did, and his gifts were enumerable to include: Music, sports, animal training, marksman and many more. While in Des Moines, Curtis and I were organists' for our father, Rev. Carl Sanders, Sr., church. We will always remember and love him.
