Phyllis J. Atkinson

Phyllis J. (Daly) Atkinson a lifelong resident of Needham died on Feb 17, 2018. She was 88. Phyllis was a graduate of Needham High School and had worked at the Glover Memorial Hospital and as a medical secretary for several Needham doctor's offices. She was an avid ballroom dancer, loved to crochet and had been a member of the Dedham American Legion, but most important was her devotion to her family. Phyllis was the wife of the late Robert E. Atkinson, the loving mother of Peter and his wife Shelley Lupe of Schenectady NY, Gary and his wife Kimberly VivoAmore of West Townsend, Susan Atkinson and her partner Elaine Donohue of Norwood and Gregory and his wife Karen of Needham. She is also survived by her brother Francis H. Daly of Norwood, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert L. Daly and pre deceased by her granddaughter Sarah A. Atkinson, grandson Michael Atkinson and great grandson Luke Boermeester. Her funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thurs Feb 22 at 9 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Wed 4-8 PM. Interment Needham Cemetery.
