Birgitta %E2%80%98B' Irene Linnell, 75, passed away in the hospital on Thursday, 14 September 2017.

Birgitta was born 6 August 1942 in Varberg, Sweden. She has a Master of Fine Arts and was an accomplished and avid life-long artist who loved to share her passion with others. Her pieces incorporated unique materials and were most often untraditional three dimensional displays from fabrics, metals and papers. She was an instructor for many years and later a docent at Worcester Art Museum and worked with a local program to bring art into underprivileged schools. B loved to entertain and took her artistic acumen into the kitchen to create beautiful meals for friends and family. She loved to travel both domestically and internationally and had an indomitable adventuring spirit.

Birgitta is preceded in death by her husband Ake. She is survived by her four children Kicki Fraser of Cascais Portugal, Ylva Kelsall and Angus of St. Davids PA, Cecilia Colmer and Keith of Bluffton SC and Joachim Linnell and Kay of Hummelstown PA. She leaves 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service and reception is planned for Monday 18 September at 11:00am in the West Boylston room at Briarwood Community, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester.
