WORCESTER-James M. Dillon, 68, passed away Friday, May 21 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, Janice (Brunelle) Cronin Dillon; his son, Michael and his wife, Jaime Dillon and their son, Aidan and daughters, Taylor and Hailey; his stepchildren, Steven, James and Brian Cronin and Julie Scanlon and their children and grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Dennis and his wife Mary Dillon; three sisters, Janet Dillon, Kathryn and her husband Robert Gates and Patricia and her husband Kevin Elliott and many nieces and nephews. His stepson, Robert J. Cronin predeceased him.
James was born in Holden the son of James J. and Olga (Brunzell) Dillon and graduated from Commerce High School. He was an Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Dillon worked for Norton Company for over 30 years retiring in 1999. He loved golfing and was a member of Bedrock Golf Club in Rutland. He enjoyed working in the yard and bird watching. James loved spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, May 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. A funeral service will be on Monday, May 24 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 640 Main St., Worcester, MA or to National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
