Rose Mary J. Kaiser
Forked River, NJ - Rose Mary J. Kaiser (nee Benz), 85, of Forked River passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018 at Southern Ocean Medical Center. Rose Mary was born in Newark and formerly of Nutley and Clifton. She had resided in Forked River since 1992. She worked as a Librarian in Clifton for 15 years, retiring in 1991.
Rose Mary was a 21-year member of the Woman's Club of Lacey, where she also served on their state board, acted as past president and participated in the Merilee Singers group. She loved to read and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds who regularly visited her back yard. She was an avid gardener, member of the Lacey Garden Club and Red Hat Society and communicant of St. Pius X RC Church.
Mrs. Kaiser was predeceased by her husband, Mark A. Kaiser in 2000 and grandson, Kevin Longenbach in 2015. She is survived by her sons, Karl (Judi), William (Susan), daughters Cheryl Kaiser (Virginia) and Robin Longenbach (Scott) along with 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Kaiser's memory may be made to either the Popcorn Park Zoo, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731 or the Woman's Club of Lacey Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 777, Forked River, NJ 08731.
Services were held on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 and Monday at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Liturgy was offered at St. Pius X RC Church followed by burial at B/G William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
