Virginia Ginny (Collins) Cowern, 75, died peacefully Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Milford Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her children, Nancy Costa and her husband Michael of Douglas, Billy Cowern and his girlfriend Renee of Medway, Peter Cowern and his wife Julie of Ashland, Donald Cowern Jr. and his wife Julie of Ashland. She also leaves behind her siblins, Jimmy Collins and his wife Valerie of AZ, Jane Donnelland her husband Kevin of RI and her aunt Jane Woodward who she cared a great deal for, as well as her eight wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Virginia worked at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham for 40 plus years where she excelled in providing compassionate care to her patients and working along side the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, she knew and loved so well, before enjoying her retirement. A graveside service will take place on Friday March 16, 2018 at 10AM in Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove St., Framingham. All are welcome to join the family for refreshments following services at the American Legion, 40 Summer St., Ashland, MA. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham. Pete & Family, Your mom was a Wonderful person.I I had the pleasure of knowing her as a teenager & many times she was their for my sisters & I. I also loved working along side of her at Bethany for many years. She is so loved & will be missed dearly. RIP Ginny. Much Love, Karen, Cathy & Rachel.

Very sorry to hear about Ginny's passing..She and her family lived on Concord st. where Belvidere Rd intersected with it.I lived in Belvidere Rd..Her older brother Billy was good friends with my older brother, Lee, and played basketball with him..Ginny and I used to walk to the Rollerena on Rt. 9 every Sunday to roller-skate when we were both at Lincoln Jr High School..Good friend.. Again very sorry to hear about her passing... My sincere condolences to the family..
