Matthew F. Taylor, 54, of Upton, formerly of Westboro, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home. He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Omer W. and Sheila (Flint) Taylor. His family relocated to Westboro, where he graduated from Westboro High School in 1981. Matthew worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Fabricators in Auburn for 15 years. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his gift for making people laugh. He was fun to be around and had a knack for livening up any gathering. He was a movie buff, an avid John Wayne fan and a talented mimic, just ask his sister Paula! He enjoyed golfing, cooking, discussing politics and current affairs. He valued time spent with his family and had a special place in his heart for his cat Sunny. He leaves his step-mother, who raised him from the age of seven, Judy Allen of Marlborough; two brothers, David W. Taylor of Manchester, NH and Jeffrey M. Taylor of Hudson; three sisters, Paula J. Whynot of Aruba (formerly of Aub urn, MA), Alison R. Dolder of West Linn, OR and Lisa M. Flanders of Lakeland, FL; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; many neph- ews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 5 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Gales Creek Camp Foundation | 6950 SW Hampton St Suite 242 | Tigard, OR 97223 or to your local animal shelter.
