George Pruitt Wethington Sr., 91, of Lebanon Junction, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Signature Healthcare in Carrollton.
Survivors include two sons, George P. Wethington Jr. (Rebecca Brenzel) and Richard L. Wethington (Susan Springate), all of Louisville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Hendrick (Tim) of Carrollton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Lebanon Junction. Burial follows in St. Clare Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction.

I always enjoyed talking to George at the Bullitt County Retired Teachers meetings at the First Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. He was a pleasant person and easy to talk with.

Sorry for your loss. He was my teacher in the 5th n 6th grade at Camp Taylor Elementary. He was a good man. Always fair and treated us all equal. His spelling bees and the winner would get a Mr Goodbar...
