She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband William Frank Haberland, her parents and sisters Martha Schuster of Pittsburgh PA, and Margaret Slonim of Corona, CA. After marrying in 1948, she and her husband settled in Bainbridge Township, OH, where they built a house and lived for over 30 years. She was a special woman, full of care and compassion for others and will be greatly missed by all those she touched. Members of the Chagrin Valley Herb Society think of Betty often. We remember her toast to the vision of the woman who designed and worked to develop our Herb Gardens at the Library. Betty always had a twinkle in her eyes at meetings.

Betty was a founding member of the Chagrin Valley Herb Society and continued to be a member until her death. Her dry sense of humor will be missed.
