IANNONE, EMMA R. (DIAMANTE)
90, died on April 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gerardo (Gerry) Iannone. Born in Fondi, Italy, Emma was the daughter of the late Giulio and Teresa (Spirito) Diamante.
Emma is survived by her sons, Julio Iannone and his wife, Lois, Romeo Iannone and his wife, Antonia (Tonya), devoted daughters, Anna Smith and her husband, Kenneth (Lee) and Maria Sangiovanni. Emma was also the devoted grandmother to six grandchildren, Christen, Jason, John, Monia, Angelica and Tina and six dear great-grandchildren, Mikayla, DeMarcus, Francesca, Giovanni, John Luca and George. Emma is also survived by her three brothers, Ettore, Gino and Norman Diamante. She leaves her loyal companion, Bella, who never left Emma's side. Emma will be greatly missed by all whom came in contact with her. She was noted for her gardening abilities and well as her Italian cooking. Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 13th at 9am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7pm.
