Edith “Edie” M. (Kruhm) Rupp, 79, of Souderton, Pennsylvania; formerly of Hatfield, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Frank Kruhm and the late Louisa (Durrwachter) Kruhm.

Edie graduated from Upper Dublin High School. She was employed as an analyst - information technology for Bell-Atlantic in the Jenkintown & Philadelphia offices for more than 30 years. After retirement, Edie worked in sales and as a floral designer for The Rhoads Garden in North Wales. She then worked in sales for Bee Jay Carpets in Lansdale.

Edie was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansdale. She was one of the original residents of the Lions Gate Community at its inception in 1997 and was actively involved in many aspects of the community during that time.

Edie loved her beloved dog, Bonnie, a Bichon Shih Tzu mix. She was a devoted caregiver for her late sister, Louise, and both of her parents. Edie was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and cruising with her sister. Edie was devoted to her family. She was a kind and compassionate woman who had a good sense of humor.

Edie is survived by several cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louisa Verhovshek.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.

A private inurnment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
