Elva R. Turner, age 95, died April 16, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve.
She was born December 15, 1922 in Cass, W.Va. to the late Carl Mann and Nellie Phillips.
Elva was a member of First Church of Christ and later Headlands Baptist Church. She worked at Rayon in Painesville and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and going to Cass, WVa to visit family and friends.
Elva is survived by her children, Vikki Chinchar and Frederick Lambert; step-children Doris McLaughlin, Charlotte McCormick, and Helen Caplinger; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shurlin Lambert and Harold Turner; children, Shirley Ochovsky, Catherine Taylor, Nellie Blizzard, and Karen Zukoski; foster daughter, Virginia Etter; and grandchildren, Joseph Horvath, Fredrick A. Lambert II, and Kimberly K. Jones.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Jason Tatterson of Freedom Assembly, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.

Vikki, I am sorry for your loss. (I was out of state last week on a trip) I had the pleasure of meeting your sweet mother. She had a long productive life and is now in heaven, where we will all meet one day soon.
