EXETER — Kenneth F. Haskins, 75, of Exeter, passed away on May 2, 2018, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following a heart attack.
Ken was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Kingston, to the late Kenneth F. and Mary Williams Haskins.
He was a 1961 graduate of Kingston High School, and was an Exeter resident for 44 years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 22 years by Benco Dental Supply Co., Wilkes-Barre, and earlier at the former Monarch Casket Co., West Pittston.
Ken was an avid woodworker and will be remembered for the many beautiful things he made in his basement workshop. He also enjoyed traveling and going to casinos.
His two sisters, Ruth (Merle) Kester and Dorothy (John) Hughes, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, the former Madelyn Zakeravich, his daughter, Carol Artim, of West Wyoming, and grandchildren, Krista, Steven and James.
He is also survived by a niece, Nancy, and her husband, John Cline, of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., and great-niece, Anna Cline, of Boston.
Funeral services will be private.

Ken, (Dutch as many of us knew him) and I shared many fond 1st cousin childhood memories. Backyard play times as well as playing board games on your bed when you were recovering from Rheumatic Fever in the 1940's

I was a 1961 classmate of Kenny's at Kingston High School. As I remember, he was a really nice guy and very talented with his wood working. He will me missed by all. He is in my prayers.

I feel like Ken never truly left Benco as I look around at all the beautiful name plates he made for so many of us. He was a great and talented man. So sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family at this difficult time.
