LAGRANGE — Doris D. Yoder, 89, of LaGrange, Indiana, died at her home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
Mrs. Yoder was born on March 2, 1929, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Franklin and Wilma (Peoples) Cummings.
In March of 1966, she moved from White Pigeon, Michigan, to LaGrange County, Indiana. Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the Emma Mennonite Church in Topeka, where she was a member of the quilting and sewing clubs.
On February 20, 1952, in Elkhart, she married Maurice A. Yoder; he preceded her in death on November 30, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Jim Graves of Goshen, Indiana, and Kelly and Tim Miller of Middlebury, Indiana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Martha Yoder of LaGrange, Indiana, and Gary and Dawn Yoder of LaGrange, Indiana; a son-in-law, Jack Nelson of Shipshewana, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Sharon Cummings of Marcellus, Michigan.
Mrs. Yoder was also preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Wilma Cummings, and a daughter, Cheryl Nelson.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Emma Mennonite Church, 1900 S. 600 W., Topeka, Indiana. The Rev. Gene Hartman will officiate. Burial will follow in Shore Cemetery in Shipshewana, Indiana. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to Emma Mennonite Church, World Missionary Press or Faith Mission.
