Christine Sue Vedra
Christine Sue Vedra passed away May 4, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in the presence of family. Chris was born to Clarence and H. Jane (Manor) Studer February 5, 1946. Chris attended Grand Rapids High School graduating in 1964 and later graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She began working for Elder-Beerman as a pharmacist in Dayton before returning to the Toledo area, where she worked for Westhaven Drugstores and later James Pharmacy until she retired in 2005. Chris was a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Aibonez Ives Jesterette and Ohio Pharmaceutical Association (OPA).
Chris was preceded in death by her parents and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph and many who loved her including, numerous sisters and a brother in law, nieces and nephews, special friends Sue and Larry Neuber, Nancy Levering, and special niece Marie Kraus.
The family would also like to thank the many nurses, doctors, and hospital personnel who gave such great care to Chris. We will never forget you. Per Christine's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or the Zenobia Shrine Endowment Fund.
