Wooster
James Anthony Wooster, 86, of Marshallville, Ohio, passed away April 26, 2018 at Doylestown Healthcare Center.
He was born August 13, 1931 in Altoona, Pa., the brother of the late Bob Wooster. Jim worked at Bob's Auto Wrecking and Towing Service along side his brother and best friend Bob Wooster most of his career. Jim had a passion for Lake Erie fishing where he and his brother caught many walleye and perch over the years. In addition, Jim loved auto racing. He built and raced dragsters and supported his brother Bob throughout his racing career. As a team they raced at the Barberton Speedway, Lake County, and Midvale Speedway. In honor of his brother Bob, Jim hand built a 50's Vintage Sprint Car that was previewed at his brother's induction into the Midvale Hall of Fame in 2008. #106.
James was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Wooster and his wife, Beulah also of Marshallville. He leaves behind two loving nieces and a nephew, Becky (John) Foster of Wooster, Wendy (Bruce) Glancy of Doylestown and Gordon (Beth) Wooster of Wooster. Jim will also be missed by a number of great nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no calling hours and the family will have a private graveside burial of his ashes next to his brother.
