FETCHERO, James Vincent Of North Hill, Needham, formerly of Wellesley, May 7, 2018 at the age of 97. Devoted husband of his beloved late wife Ruth E. (Matheson) Fetchero for 48 years. Devoted father of Elizabeth Enright of Medfield, MA and the late James V. Fetchero, Jr. Loving grandfather of Courtney Aronson and her husband Matthew of Chicago, IL and Sam Enright of Los Angeles, CA. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was a retired Chief Financial Officer for Arkwright-Boston Insurance. Past President of the Boston Security Analysts Society. Former member of the Board of Directors for the John Hancock Mutual Fund. Served on the Board of Trustees for the Boston Five Cent Savings Bank. Trustee Emeritus of Northeastern University. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Jim loved being with family and his many friends. He was an avid reader of history. He had a boundless curiosity about the world around him and loved to travel, rafting down Colorado's Snake River at 89, walking on a glacier in Iceland in his 90's. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Wellesley Country Club. Jim was proud of his West Virginia roots and loved to tell stories of his boyhood, the proud son of Italian immigrants, Sam and Theresa (Roda) Fetchero. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt 16) WELLESLEY, Friday, May 18, at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours, in the funeral home, Thursday, May 17 from 3-7pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jim's memory to the James Vernon Cancer Center - Integrated Support Services Fund, Newton Wellesley Hospital, 2014 Washington St., Newton, MA 02462.
