Bernadette M. Bizier
1930 - 2018
WATERVILLE - Bernadette M. Bizier, 87, of Waterville, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Inland Hospital, with her family at her side.
Bernadette was born in Waterville on June 12, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Lea (Rossignol) Veilleux.
She was educated at Notre Dame School in Waterville, and graduated from Waterville High School, class of 1948.
Bernadette served as a Eucharist Minister at St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow for many years. She also worked as a volunteer at the St. John's Catholic School Library for several years. She was a member of the Eucharist Association of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
She loved family gatherings, traveling and card playing and reading.
Bernadette was married to her loving husband, the late Leonce (Lee) Bizier, on Aug. 2, 1952. They had two sons, Kevin Bizier of Vassalboro, and Jeffrey Bizier and wife, Windy, of Vassalboro; one daughter, Andrea Donahue and husband, Jeffrey, of Alton; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Nicole, Jacob, Michelle, Megan, Rodney Samantha and Dominique; eight great-grandchildren, Chyanne, Skylar, Dominic, Ethan, Aiden, Sarah, Elijah and Talon. She is also survived by one sister, Gertrude Francouer, of Florida; one brother, Jerome Veilleux and wife, Barbara, of Atco, N.J.; and by several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by four sisters: Cecile Bernier, Theresa Veilleux, Loretta Dionne and Olivette Carter; by three brothers, Leo Paul Veilleux, Gerald Veilleux, and a baby brother, Roland Veilleux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Church, 21 Monument St., Winslow, with the Rev. Daniel Baillargeon, Celebrant. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Chapel, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. An online guestbook may be signed and condolences expressed at www.gallantfh.com.

I will miss Aunt Bern's phone calls, birthday cards but mostly the love that she gave me. My last visit with her was filled with laughter and tears I will be forever grateful of that time.

My deepest sympathy to the Bizier family. I enjoyed Bern's company very much when I went to Maine for the summer.Playing cards and friendly outings with friends. I know that she has a special place in heaven.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. Bernadette was a loving and giving person. During her time at Mount St. Joseph, she faithfully attended daily Mass.
