Hal McAnally Obituary

Hal McAnally

Rogersville - Being released from his physical body, Hal McAnally joyously walked into the arms of his Lord, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. After devoting his life as a servant of God, the family knows the Lord is rejoicing that His child has come home.

He was born October 12, 1938 in Seymour, Missouri, the son of the late Horace E. and Hazel S. (Farr) McAnally. He was united in marriage on June 1, 1981 in Rogersville, Missouri to Bonnie J. Bumgarner. The two shared a uniquely close relationship, making cherished memories with family and friends and leaving behind a legacy of love.

Hal was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He became a minister following his ordination in 1968 and followed and served the Lord at various churches ending his pastoral duties at Friendship Baptist Church in Marshfield. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; three daughters, Leah-Rachel Blakey and husband Josh; Becky Spain and husband Eddie; Sheri Stark and husband Gary; two sons, Alan Lea and wife Janet; and Greg Lea and wife Susie; five granddaughters, McKenzie Blakey, Alexandria Spain, Vanessa Lumby and husband Jacob; Abbey Lea, and Meredith Lea; five grandsons, Jake Spain and wife Pam and great-granddaughter, Kate; Luke Spain, Scott Lea, Cody Lea, and Dylan Lea; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, May 20, 2018 in the funeral home.
