86, of Tamarac, FL passed away May 16, 2018. Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of F. Leonard and Marguerite (Brady) Faul. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Heverin), his children Kelly (David Bauman), Erin, Maureen (Stacey Citrin), Laura, Patrick (Sylva Kholanian-Faul) Faul, Meghean (Adam) Feidelman, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sisters Georgianne (Raymond deceased) O'Connor and Cynthia (Herbert) Chandler. He attended St. Ignatius High School, John Carroll University, both of Cleveland, OH, and later Syracuse University Law School. After college, he was drafted, entered the U.S. Navy and participated in the hydrogen bomb testing in the South Pacific in Operation Redwing. Upon his return to Cleveland, Mr. Faul began a long career in the trucking industry that took him and his family all over the Great Lakes region. After more than 30 years in trucking, Mike decided to change career paths and attend law school. Following law school, he hung out his sole practioner shingle in Phelps, NY and went on to become the Town Justice for 12 years. He also served as Director of the Legal Aid Society in Wayne County, NY. After retirement he moved to South Florida to enjoy the warm, sunny weather. He was devoted to his family, his faith and his cat, Ms. Dickens. Friends and family will be received at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21 at 11 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL. If desired, and in lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to Catholic Relief Services.
